How to support your mind during lockdown 2.0

We posted a few prompts over on instagram at the start of this second lockdown that we are facing in England back in early November. They were so well received I felt we should place them in a more permenant home on the blog in the hope that you may have stumbled upon this article just at the right time.
SIMPLE PROMPTS ✨ for a second lockdown..whilst we hope this one won’t be as long and slightly less restricting, this time it feels just as heavy, so here are some daily prompts to try to remember...they seem simple, but the key is to act on them and bring everything back to basics again...
✨ Create a morning routine, whatever works for you, but build in some rituals - perhaps...yoga/coffee/workout/walk/journaling/simply listening to music
✨ Take breaks, don’t forget to move away from your desk if you’re working from home! Equally take a moment for you if you’re rushed off your feet.
✨ Move your body, it’s very easy to become stagnant, use stairs, go out, walk, run, stroll, workout...something is better than nothing.
✨ Stop Scrolling, try to limit screen time, it’s easy to fall into the vortex of spiralling comparisonitis...
✨ Limit your news in take, the media are all over this, not in a good way, only take the facts.
✨ Create, if you can create, small things, big things, even cooking is creating
✨ Eat well, enjoy good food, it can be simple and still good. Use it as a ritual and moment to break.
✨ Differentiate working hours, take chill out time!
✨ Get outside! Embrace rain, wind, walk breathe it all in..
✨ Enjoy the small things life has to offer, practice gratitude for these.
Hope that helps! X
