Kindness

My favourite prompt in our positivity packs is Thursdays - Act of Kindness and this year's theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is 'Kindness', we didn't even know! So have think about what act of kindness you might perform next week, it really doesn't have to be major, something to help those especially right now, no doubt it will make their day and create a ripple effect which is the best part.

Little did we know this year would be full of even more challenges than last year, so this week, more than ever we need to raise awareness and really help others. The time we are living in will undoubtedly have an effect on our Mental Health no matter what situation we are in, some are finding the lockdown really enjoyable which is fantastic, however many are struggling. A new wave of anxiety and an emotional rollercoaster of feelings have emerged, so I look forward to reading about strategies to cope from the experts in this unusual time, there is a fantastic article over on Balpro about how to help those who may be suffering right now. For now, we focus on creating the daily prompts you need to help nudge you in the right direction if you are feeling overwhelmed or unmotivated.

So have think about what act of kindness you might perform next week, it really doesn't have to be major, something to help those especially right now, no doubt it will make their day and create a ripple effect which is the best part. Here are a few ideas to get you going;
  • Call a loved one and tell them you love them.
  • If you make eye contact with a stranger, smile.
  • Send a nice “just because” card to a family member.
  • Leave some books/toys/games outside your house for others to pick up for free (clean them first!)
PS You can find this lovely little A5 laser cut print for you home here!
